Racer X Discography :

Origin Los Angeles, California, USA
Genres Heavy metal, speed metal

Guitarist Paul Gilbert first gained notoriety when he was featured in Mike Varney’s Spotlight Column in the February 1983 issue of Guitar Player magazine. Gilbert was 16 years old and living in Greensburg, Pennsylvania; he later moved to Los Angeles and enrolled at the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT), part of the Musicians Institute. After graduating from the school, Gilbert was hired as an instructor.

While at GIT, Paul met fellow student John Alderete. Searching for a drummer, Alderete and Gilbert first turned to Scott Travis, who was living in Virginia at the time, but he turned down the offer due to his commitment to the band Hawk; Travis was receiving a salary from Doug Marks, the band's lead guitarist, and would not turn down the income. Alderete and Gilbert instead sought the services of fellow student Harry Gschoesser.

After acquiring Gschoesser, Gilbert, with the help of Varney, recruited Jeff Martin of the Phoenix-area metal band Surgical Steel. Martin, who still lived in Phoenix and could not regularly write songs with Racer X in Los Angeles, began writing lyrics immediately for demo tapes that Gilbert had sent, and recording for their first album, Street Lethal, began quickly. The band began the recording process in 1985, and Racer X's debut album was released in January 1986 on Mike Varney's Shrapnel Records label.

Rhapsody Discography :

Also known as Thundercross, Rhapsody
Origin Trieste, Italy
Genres Power metal, symphonic metal, progressive metal, neo-classical metal

In 1993, Luca Turilli decided to create a Power metal band with the vision of integrating classical music elements with Power metal. The first to join him were Alex Staropoli and Daniele Carbonera. These three formed a band that became known as Thundercross. Turilli has admitted in interviews that both Thundercross and the early Rhapsody material were heavily influenced by Manowar's style of heavy metal, and that Yngwie Malmsteen was a big influence from a guitar playing perspective.

A year later Thundercross released their first demo, Land of Immortals, with Cristiano Adacher taking the role of vocals. During this period of time, they went through a few bassist changes in their lineup. Limb Music Products & Publishing showed interest in the songs. Not long after the release the band got a proposal from the record company.

The band decided to accept the offer and soon they began promoting their music. Now the group had access to higher quality equipment and started recording Eternal Glory. At this time Thundercross changed their name to Rhapsody. This name highlights the connection between classical music and poetry. That demo pushed Rhapsody up in the business and the press started to write more about them. However, shortly after the release of Eternal Glory the vocalist Cristiano and the bassist Andrea left the band. Rhapsody found new vocalist Fabio Lione. Fabio Lione proved to be a good choice. As the former vocalist in two bands called Labyrinth and Athena he was known by the depth and power of his voice in his songs.

Ramones Discography :

Origin Forest Hills, Queens, New York
Genres Punk rock

The Ramones were an American rock band often regarded as the first punk rock group. The group was formed in Forest Hills, Queens, New York in 1974. All of the band members adopted pseudonyms ending with the surname "Ramone", though none of them were actually related. They performed 2,263 concerts, touring virtually nonstop for 22 years. In 1996, after a tour with the Lollapalooza music festival, the band played a farewell show and disbanded. By a little more than eight years after the breakup, the band's three founding members—lead singer Joey Ramone, guitarist Johnny Ramone, and bassist Dee Dee Ramone—had all died.

The Ramones were a major influence on the punk rock movement both in the United States and the United Kingdom, though they achieved only minor commercial success. Their only record with enough U.S. sales to be certified gold was the compilation album Ramones Mania. Recognition of the band's importance built over the years, and they are now cited in many assessments of all-time great rock music, such as the Rolling Stone lists of the 50 Greatest Artists of All Time and VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. In 2002, the Ramones were ranked the second-greatest band of all time by Spin magazine, trailing only The Beatles. On March 18, 2002, the Ramones—including the three founders and drummers Marky and Tommy Ramone—were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Redemption Discography :

Redemption is an American progressive metal and power metal band comprising former and current members of Fates Warning and Prymary. Mythiasin left in 2003, and Corey Brown of Magnitude 9 stepped in and performed live with the band, but Ray Alder of Fates Warning, who had sung on one track on Redemption's self-titled debut, agreed to join as Redemption's full-time vocalist, beginning with 2005's The Fullness of Time. The band recently accompanied the progressive metal band Dream Theater on their U.S. Systematic Chaos Tour, supporting their 2007 release The Origins of Ruin. In March 2009 a live DVD/CD, entitled Frozen in the Moment, was released.
