Lucifugum Discography :

Genre(s) : Black Metal
Origin : Ukraine

Lucifugum was created in 1995. Since its birth, the band was regularly threatened by religious and political authorities because of their musical activities. Some gigs of the bands, have been cancelled after the intervention of those authorities. So, Lucifugum has been always considered as the leader and the most respected band of the Ukrainian black metal scene. Lucifugum recorded different productions released only on tape for the Eastern European market. "Gates Of Nocticula" (1996), "Path Of Wolf" (1996), "Through Indifferent Sky" (1997), "Instinct Prevelance" (1997), and "On The Sortilage Of Christianity" (1999) which has been released by Oaken Shield in 2001... Some of those recording has been possible thanks to the help of Nokturnal Mortum's members. The latest years the band succeed to have a real line-up and recorded with this formation some new pieces. Inquisition Discography :

Genre(s) : Thrash metal (early), Black metal
Origin : Cali, Colombia & Seattle, U.S.

The band Inquisition was formed in 1988 in Cali Colombia by Dagon. The band started as a thrash metal act, and in 1994 evolved into raw black metal.

In 1996, Dagon left Colombia and moved back to the United States to continue Inquisition and search for a new drummer. That same year Dagon met Incubus who joined the band on drums and the creation of their debut full length album began. This line-up has remained stable for more than ten years and is now seen as the classic Inquisition line-up.

Inquisition resides north of Seattle, Washington, USA.

The band plays their own unique trademark of black metal involving slow, deep and dark riffing combined with sudden tempo changes to ultra tight blast beats and hyper fast riffing; at times adding melodic solos. The classic Inquisition sound involves the combination of old school thrash metal major guitar progressions with the depth and darkness of black metal's chaotic minor guitar progressions, thus creating a trademark of the Inquisition sound.

Samael Discography :

Origin : Sion, Switzerland
Genres : Industrial metal, Black metal, Symphonic metal, Industrial black metal, Electronic music
Site :

Although much of their music from the mid-1990s onwards has incorporated electronic sounds which would best define their genre as industrial metal, they are an early 2nd Wave black metal band and an innovator for post-black metal styles.

Samael released several demos, including an extremely rare demo titled Medieval Prophesy. Their first demos presented a slow, doomy style of thrash metal with raw vocals, similar to that of Celtic Frost. Some of the songs would be included on Worship Him (1991) and Blood Ritual (1992).

Around the time of Ceremony of Opposites (1994), the band started using industrial-styled song techniques, employed by the use of keyboards and (minimalist) acoustic percussion. By this time, they had also left French record label Osmose Productions and signed with Century Media Records.

Their album Passage (1996) saw them gather a larger audience, with the music video for the song "Jupiterian Vibe" getting airplay on MTV's Headbanger's Ball.

After the release of Eternal (1999), Samael would not renew their contract with Century Media. In 2004, Reign of Light was released through independent label Galactical Records.

In 2006, their album Era One was released on Century Media Records. It includes a bonus disc, "Lesson in Magic #1," which is entirely instrumental and done solely by keyboardist Xy. The album itself was recorded in 2001, and the bonus disc a year later. Both were rearranged and remixed in 2005.

In June 2007 they released the album Solar Soul, which summed up and combined many of the styles of their previous albums since Passage. On March 6, 2009, Samael released Above, a full-length album described as a tribute to Samael's roots.

Satyricon Discography :

Origin : Oslo, Norway
Genres : Black metal
Site :

Satyricon was formed in 1990 by Czral (Carl-Michael Eide) and Wargod. Haavard (Ulver) soon joined them. Satyr took over lead vocals in 1991. Satyricon's current drummer, Frost, who joined the band in 1992, has appeared in 1349, Keep of Kalessin, Gorgoroth, and Gehenna. Members of many other black metal bands have contributed to Satyricon either in the studio or live, including Samoth and Ihsahn of Emperor, Fenriz and Nocturno Culto of Darkthrone, and Obsidian C. of Keep of Kalessin.
The band's first album Dark Medieval Times showed off the fascination Satyricon had with the Middle Ages and featured raw black metal blastbeats produced by Frost, mixed with acoustic guitar and flute. On their next album, The Shadowthrone, this medieval spirit was continued. Satyricon’s third album, Nemesis Divina, contains Norwegian black metal influenced by medieval metal and was released in 1996. Rebel Extravaganza, Satyricon’s fourth album, was released in 1999. It contained more industrial metal influences than the previous albums.
In April and May of 2000 Satyricon toured as a supporting band for Pantera. Phil Anselmo has spoken of his love for black metal numerous times, and has participated in some extreme metal projects with Satyricon frontman Satyr.
Regarding one of their latest albums, Volcano, frontman Satyr stated in a press release / biography on their homepage that "the music is rock based but more extreme; it is black metal pushing the boundaries that began with bands like Venom and Bathory, reinventing ourselves based on a foundation of rock oriented black metal is our philosophy." It resulted in a total of 4 Awards for Volcano being, the Norwegian Grammy for "Best Metal Album", an Alarm award for "Fuel For Hatred" in the category for "Song of the Year", as well as The Alarm Award for "Metal Album of the Year" and The Oslo awards for "Best Overall Album".
Satyricon participated in the Darkthrone tribute Darkthrone Holy Darkthrone, released by Moonfog Productions in 1998, covering the song Kathaarian Life Code. Also in 1998, Satyricon participated in the Bathory tribute In Conspiracy With Satan, released by Hellspawn/No Fashion Records, covering the song Born For Burning. In 2006, Satyricon released Now, Diabolical. The album was somewhat controversial among black metal fans due to its somewhat “radio friendly” take on black metal.
In March 2008, the band headlined the Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo for the first time.
The EP My Skin Is Cold is also included on their latest album, The Age of Nero which was released on November 3, 2008.
